About the Event
The Entrepreneur Awareness & Special Vendor Development Programme (EA & SVDP) was successfully organized at Hotel The Destination Banquet by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, in association with the International Navodaya Chamber of Commerce.
The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness about various initiatives of the Ministry of MSME, particularly the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme, and encouraging greater participation of SC/ST-owned enterprises in government procurement opportunities.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs, professionals, and aspiring business owners from Gaya and nearby regions, making it a highly impactful initiative for entrepreneurship development and MSME empowerment.
Objective & Initiative
The primary objective of the programme was to educate existing and aspiring entrepreneurs about the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme and create awareness regarding various government support initiatives available for MSMEs.
The programme aimed to encourage SC/ST-owned Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to actively participate in government procurement systems and leverage opportunities available under the Public Procurement Policy of the Government of India. Special emphasis was placed on achieving the mandatory procurement target of 4% from SC/ST-owned enterprises and 3% from women-owned MSEs by Central Ministries, Departments, and CPSEs.
The initiative also focused on helping entrepreneurs understand vendor registration procedures, digital procurement systems, financial assistance schemes, and entrepreneurship development opportunities to strengthen sustainable business growth.
