MSME TEAM Scheme

The Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Scheme is an initiative of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, implemented through the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC). The scheme has been launched to help Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) adopt digital commerce and become part of India’s growing online marketplace ecosystem.

The objective is to onboard 5 lakh MSEs, including 50% women-owned enterprises, onto the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform. This will enable businesses to sell their products and services across India through a common digital network and reduce dependence on a few large e-commerce platforms.

Today, customers are increasingly buying products online. However, many small businesses, manufacturers, artisans, women entrepreneurs and startups lack the knowledge and resources to establish an online presence.

Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is an initiative promoted by the Government of India to democratize e-commerce. Unlike traditional marketplaces, ONDC is an open network where buyers and sellers can transact through multiple platforms without being restricted to a single app.
