MSME TEAM Scheme
Empowering Businesses, Connecting Opportunities
The Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Scheme is an initiative of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, implemented through the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC). The scheme has been launched to help Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) adopt digital commerce and become part of India’s growing online marketplace ecosystem.
The objective is to onboard 5 lakh MSEs, including 50% women-owned enterprises, onto the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) platform. This will enable businesses to sell their products and services across India through a common digital network and reduce dependence on a few large e-commerce platforms.
Why is the Scheme Important?
Today, customers are increasingly buying products online. However, many small businesses, manufacturers, artisans, women entrepreneurs and startups lack the knowledge and resources to establish an online presence.
The TEAM Scheme aims to bridge this gap by providing support for:
- Digital onboarding
- Seller registration
- Product catalogue creation
- E-commerce enablement
- Branding and marketing support
- Capacity building and training
- Handholding assistance through Seller Network Participants (SNPs)
- Market access across India
- Export readiness through digital commerce
