The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) is an initiative of the Government of India, implemented by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), to provide practical industry experience to young people by offering internships in leading companies across the country. The scheme aims to provide *1 crore internship opportunities over five years

Financial Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: ₹9,000 per month
- ₹8,100 paid by the Government through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)
- ₹900 contributed by the participating company
- One-time Joining Grant: ₹6,000 for onboarding expenses.
Eligibility
- Be an Indian citizen
- Be 18–25 years of age (as per the current round)
- Not be in full-time employment
- Meet the educational and other eligibility criteria specified for the internship opportunity
- Recent updates have expanded eligibility to include more categories, including certain final-year students.
