INCOC Market Update
Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured orders worth approximately ₹847 crore, further strengthening its business portfolio across defence and civilian segments.
The major order includes a contract worth ₹665.84 crore, excluding taxes, from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs under the Ministry of Finance. The contract was awarded to BEL through an open and competitive bidding process.
Under the project, BEL will undertake the supply, installation and maintenance of IT and networking infrastructure. The company will also provide field-level IT support, along with centralised management and monitoring services. Maintenance support will continue for five years, including the project implementation period.
According to BEL, this is one of the company’s largest civilian projects secured through competitive bidding during the financial year.
In addition, BEL received orders worth ₹182 crore for miscellaneous spares and services since its previous disclosure on 17 January 2024.
With these fresh orders, BEL’s cumulative order inflow during the financial year reached approximately ₹28,494 crore. The development reflects the company’s growing capabilities beyond defence electronics and its increasing participation in major technology and digital infrastructure projects undertaken by the Government of India.
The new orders are expected to support BEL’s long-term growth while strengthening its position as one of India’s leading defence electronics and technology companies.
