What is CMA Foundation ?
The CMA Foundation is the initial stage of the three-tiered Cost and Management Accountancy certification path offered by the ICMAI. This program is aimed at equipping students with a solid understanding of basic accounting, economics, and management principles, which serve as the groundwork for advanced CMA studies in the subsequent stages.
Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate should have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
- Be at least 17 years old at the time of registration.
Registration Process
- Online Registration: Visit the official ICMAI website and create an account.
- Complete the Form: Provide the necessary details, including personal information, educational background, and contact information.
- Upload Documents: Submit documents like proof of age, educational qualifications, and a passport-sized photograph.
- Pay the Registration Fee: The fee for the CMA Foundation course is approximately ₹6,000 (subject to change), which covers the study material and examination fees.
Registration Deadlines
The CMA Foundation exams are held in June and December each year.
- For the June exam, registration typically closes by January 31.
- For the December exam, registration typically closes by July 31.
CMA Foundation Exam Structure
The CMA Foundation exam is a written, offline examination consisting of four papers, each carrying 100 marks. Candidates need a minimum of 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% across all papers to pass
